![]() Manufacturer: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. Vendor: American Megatrends International, LLC. Similar problem is reported on Reddit MSI channel: https:/ /com/r/MSI_ Gaming/ comments/ t58dp6/ pro_z690a_ wifi_ez_ debug_cpu_ led_turns_ red_when/Īs additional info one of the processor msr -> MSR_IA32_PERF_CTL (0x199) is restored as 0x1e00 prev value: 0x800 but probably it is not related. ![]() My question is how this could be diagnosed / fixed (turn light off) ? The problem seems to be Linux specific since the issue does not appears on Windows 11. ![]() Otherwise (at first glance) the system works as expected, also there is no ACPI error messages in dmesg. The board OEM either licenses the source code from AMI/Phoenix/whoever and produces the 'ported' specific board BIOS themselves, or have the BIOS company do this as contract work - to their specification. I restarted and now I'm stuck (10+ minutes) on the American Megatrends summary screen. ![]() I installed from the BIOS, everything installed fine- 'Successful install, click to restart'. When the PC (running latest distribution or mainline Linux kernel - 5.18.5) wakes up from suspend to ram (S3) state, the motherboard CPU ez debug led light stay solid and does not turning off indicating CPU problem. Its up to the board OEM what options are in the BIOS and which ones arent. Had a stock Asus TUF Gaming 570x WIFI, downloaded 1405 Bios from their site- downloaded, unzipped put on a USB. ![]()
